Lead LUNAR Europe‘s Insights & Strategy team within the Munich Studio

 

 About You

You have worked for an international design consultancy and have 5+ years experience in a related position. You can do details and the big picture; you can make insights tangible to clients and to designers. You're a right-brained synthesizer and a left brain analyst, someone who can make sense of what's important and communicate it clearly. You are skilled at understanding client challenges, planning projects to bring those challenges to focus, and executing projects that deliver results designers and clients can use. You have been leading projects and project teams, which has given you a sense of vision, strategy, and a strong and unique point of view.

You are comfortable interacting with and presenting to clients. You know how to break down a problem and develop solutions.  You are creative, passionate, and unwilling to compromise your drive to create stunning results. On the business side you have the experience presenting and selling insights & strategy capabilities to clients as well as preparing related project plans and proposals.  Further you bring excellent contacts within the industry to peers and potential clients.

  

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years international experience, recently in a related position
  • Degree in Design, experienced in team-, project- and client-management
  • A strategic design-thinker who understands the consultancy business
  • Skilled communicator, excellent communication and presentation skills in German AND English
  • Analytical mindset with organizational skills, proficiency in relevant strategic tools
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an extensive professional network (to peers and potential clients)

  

Your tasks & skills

  • Lead, inspire and evolve the Munich insights & strategy team
  • Oversee the quality of creative output of the team and develop their talents
  • Drive and plan business development, acquire new clients and maintain client contact
  • Lead and further grow insights & strategy as fundamental part of our integrated service offerings and the user-centered design process
  • Manage the I&S process activities, drive decisions and assist in resource planing
  • Be the link between management, the team members and clients
  • Manage client communication as well as organizing and moderating workshops, preparing and delivering presentations
  • Cover project requirements gathering activities, workshops, and product definition exercises and create proposals
  • Exceptional skills in user research methods and design strategic approaches
  • Develop user-centered design strategies and product- and service definitions of the highest quality
  • Distill your thinking and lead the creation of persuasive outputs (frameworks, work flows, presentations and videos) that use storytelling to bring research to life
